Ritwik Gupta

Ritwik Gupta is a PhD student in artificial intelligence and public policy at the University of California, Berkeley, and an AI Policy Fellow at Berkeley’s Center for Security in Politics. He has extensive experience in AI for remote sensing and for humanitarian assistance and disaster response. His research on topics such as building-damage assessment and illegal-fishing-ship detection from space have been deployed at dozens of organizations around the world. Gupta also serves as the Deputy Technical Director of Autonomy at the Pentagon’s Defense Innovation Unit.
