Shashank Agarwal is a doctoral student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT. Besides core research on granular materials, he holds interests in the interaction of science,  technology, and policy and promoting the participation of public and youth in the policy-building process. In the past, he has worked on topics such as effects of policy on the growth and expansion of India’s generic market and the evolution of water quality laws in the United States.
