Tristan previously worked as a reporter for Fortune Magazine in New York City, where he wrote about the economy, energy and technology. Prior to that, he was an editor at Earth.Org, an environmental media startup based in Hong Kong where he covered climate policy and economics.
He holds bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Chinese from DePaul University and a master’s of science degree in journalism from Northwestern University, where his reporting on science and the environment took him from Sri Lanka’s wetlands to the fjords of southeastern Alaska. He has lived and worked in the U.S., Italy and China.
