Viet Phuong Nguyen is a postdoctoral fellow with the Belfer Center’s International Security Program and Project on Managing the Atom, where he also was a pre-doctoral fellow from 2016 to 2017. Phuong received his BSc in nuclear physics from the Vietnam National University and MSc and PhD in nuclear engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). His research examines the perception of nuclear weapons in non-nuclear-weapon states and the development of nuclear energy in newcomer countries.
