Yoichi Funabashi

Yoichi Funabashi is Distinguished Journalist-in-Residence and chairman of the Global Council at the International House of Japan. He previously served as editor-in-chief of Asahi Shimbun. Some of his English books include Meltdown: Inside the Fukushima Nuclear Crisis (The Brookings Institution, 2021); The Crisis of Liberal Internationalism, ed. (co-edited with G. John Ikenberry, Brookings Institution 2020); The Peninsula Question: A chronicle of the second Korean nuclear crisis (The Brookings Institution, 2007).
