Through Mutual Funds, Stocks, and Securities:

To transfer funds directly to the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, please email Lisa McCabe at [email protected] for more information.

Through an IRA Charitable Rollover:

The IRA charitable rollover works like this: once you reach 70 ½, you can make up to $100,000 a year in gifts to charity directly from your IRA. Those gifts count towards the required minimum distributions you must take annually from your traditional IRAs, but aren’t included in your adjusted gross income. Of course, since the gifts aren’t counted in your income, you cannot claim an itemized charitable deduction for them. Please discuss this with your financial advisor or IRA administrator, and notify the Bulletin’s Development Director, Kendal Gladish ([email protected]) and Finance Director, Lisa McCabe ([email protected]) about your gift.

Through Your Estate:

To help sustain the Bulletin well beyond your lifetime, the Development Office can provide information and forms about bequest gifts of cash, property transfers, or estate remainder percentages to be reviewed with your family and financial advisors. Please contact Kendal Gladish at [email protected] for more information.
