Online donations

You can make an immediate difference through an online contribution today. We use a secure donation processing service that accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Information is only used for transactions and will not be shared with any other party.

For assistance with an online donation, please contact [email protected] or 872.264.7302 for more information.

Matching gifts

When you make a matching gift, you can double or triple the impact of your contribution. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Ask your human resources department about your company's matching gift policy. Some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.

Please contact our Advancement Services Manager at [email protected] or 872.264.7302 for more information.

Tribute gifts—gifts that honor

Tribute gifts are a thoughtful way to honor someone important in your life while celebrating Mother's Day, Father's Day, a birthday, anniversary, or any special occasion. These gifts can also serve as a special expression of sympathy by honoring the memory of a friend or relative.

The Bulletin acknowledges your gift and notifies the honoree or appropriate persons that a tribute donation was made. The amount of your gift is kept confidential.

Make your gift to honor someone today. For assistance, please contact Anne Puotinen at [email protected] or 773.456.1747.

Giving by mail

If you prefer to mail in your gift by check or through a donor-advised fund, please make the check or gift reply card out to “Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists" and mail to:

Please contact our Advancement Services Administrator at [email protected] or 872.264.7302 for more information.

Giving through mutual funds, stocks, and securities

An outright gift of stock can benefit both you and the Bulletin. A gift of long-term appreciated securities, either publicly traded or from a closely-held company, may provide you with greater tax advantages than a gift of cash. For more assistance and transfer instructions, please contact Anne Puotinen at [email protected] or 773.456.1747.

Tax-savvy giving

Through an IRA charitable rollover, a gift from your donor-advised fund, and gifts of appreciated securities

Tax laws have changed and provide new ways to reduce your 2022 taxes through charitable gifts. As an independent, nonprofit media organization, our operations depend on the support of readers like you. Your support of our work at any level is important.

Please contact Anne Puotinen at [email protected] or 773.456.1747 for more information.
