Join us on Wednesday, October 21 for a virtual program: The brain computer interface is coming and we are so not ready for it, a discussion featuring Amy Orsborn, Paul Tullis , and moderated by Dawn Sinclair Shapiro.
Paul Tullis and Amy Orsborn will be in conversation with Dawn Sinclair Shapiro as they discuss Tullis’ recent Bulletin article, “The brain-computer interface is coming and we are so not ready for it.”
In it, Tullis describes the duel-edged sword of this technology and notes “a host of ethical legal, and social questions [that] will arise.” He also acknowledges that “the human brain is reluctant to give up its secrets.” Join us to discuss the progress and pitfalls of a disruptive technology that we know is coming, but aren’t doing nearly enough to prepare for.
