John McCloy

John S. McCloy is a professor and director of the School of Mechanical & Materials Engineering and Lindholm Endowed Chair at Washington State University. His professional career encompasses industry, national laboratory, and academia sectors. He has worked in diverse engineering fields, including cryogenics, composite structures, telescopes, optical ceramics, magnetic nanoparticles, nuclear fuels, and glasses for the immobilization of radioactive waste. McCloy holds a PhD in material science and engineering from the University of Arizona.
