Neil Gunningham

Neil Gunningham is a professor in the School of Regulation and Global Governance at The Australian National University. Initially trained in law, he is an interdisciplinary social scientist whose work focuses on the contribution that innovative forms of regulation can make to safety, health, and environmental policy. His current research examines the role of financial markets in climate change mitigation and how an “energy revolution” and a rapid transition to a low-carbon economy might best be achieved.
