One of the five surviving photographs taken by photojournalist Yoshito Matsushige at Miyuki-bashi Bridge, Hiroshima, a little over two hours after the United States dropped a nuclear bomb on the city. The original caption says “People suffering burns received dabs of transformer oil brought from the nearby Hiroshima Electric Railway… Distance from hypocenter 2200 meters.”
